Your flight into the Himalayas offers spectacular views of some of Nepal’s magnificent peaks, including Mt. Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), Mt. Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), Mt. Purbi Chhyachu (6,637 m), and Mt. Langtang (7,227 m), weather permitting, before arriving in the Himalayan capital city of Kathmandu.
After completing customs and immigration formalities and collecting your luggage, a representative from The Crampon for Nepal Travel will warmly welcome you outside the arrival terminal and transfer you to your hotel. (Standard hotel check-in time: 14:00 hrs.)
Kathmandu Valley, the capital and cultural heart of Nepal, beautifully reflects the country’s rich history and heritage. Having flourished under the rule of various dynasties, the city has developed a unique blend of ancient traditions and modern life. Today, Kathmandu stands as a vibrant urban center where centuries-old temples, myths, and cultural treasures coexist with bustling streets and contemporary lifestyles.
After a short briefing about your program, the remainder of the day is free for your own activities. I’d like to point out that your visit begins with Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important historical landmarks in Nepal. This ancient royal complex, once the seat of the Malla Kings, is an open-air museum filled with beautifully carved temples, courtyards, and palaces. Here, you will also visit the Kumari Palace, home to the Living Goddess Kumari, who occasionally appears at her balcony to greet visitors. The royal palace, known as Hanuman Dhoka, is guarded by the statue of the Monkey God Hanuman and served as the traditional coronation site for Nepal’s kings. Nearby stands the impressive statue of Kal Bhairab, the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva.
The tour continues to Swayambhunath Stupa, one of Nepal’s oldest and most sacred Buddhist monuments, with a history of more than 2,500 years. Perched atop a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers panoramic views of the city. Often called the “Monkey Temple,” it is famous for its playful monkeys, ancient shrines, colorful prayer flags, spinning prayer wheels, and the harmonious blend of Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Later, you will visit Patan Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the historic city of Lalitpur, renowned for its exceptional arts and craftsmanship. The square showcases magnificent Newari architecture, featuring the ancient royal palace with its Golden Gate and intricately carved windows, the famous Krishna Temple, numerous shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, and the beautiful Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple). The city’s monasteries, courtyards, and traditional metal and stone artwork make Patan one of Nepal’s finest cultural treasures.

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the subtropical Terai region of southern Nepal. Recognized as one of the best-managed national parks in Asia, Chitwan is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife and lush natural landscapes. The park features dense forests, winding rivers, and rich grasslands inhabited by the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, crocodiles, pythons, several species of deer, and hundreds of exotic birds.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the resort staff with a refreshing drink, followed by a short briefing about the lodge, its facilities, and the activities planned during your stay. After room allocation, you can relax and begin exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Enjoy the full day of jungle safari to discover the nature and wildlife of Nepal.
Canoe ride along the Rapti River (Subject to water level), an excellent opportunity for Bird Watching, we could see two rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial.
In the afternoon, Jeep Safari, an excellent opportunity to see different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If we are lucky). We will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
(Note: Due to animal rights activists it is banned elephant-back tours in Chitwan by most resorts, instead will provide Jeep Safari.
During monsoon period Canoe ride and Jeep Safari is closed from June till end of September as the national park authorities close its entry into the jungle to prevent damage to forest track, secure human lives from monsoon-induced disasters and felling of the trees)
In the evening Tharu cultural dance presentation by the local villagers (in which we also could participate).
