Distance: From Airport to Hotel 6 km, Duration: 30 mins

Your flight into the Himalayas offers spectacular views of snow-capped mountains such as Mt. Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), Mt. Ganesh Himal (7,422 m), and Mt. Langtang (7,227 m), weather permitting, before arriving in the vibrant capital city of Kathmandu. After completing the airport formalities, a representative from The Crampon for Nepal Travel will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. The remaining time is free for relaxation, personal activities, exploring the nearby city area, or attending a short briefing about your upcoming program.

Begin your cultural sightseeing tour with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of Nepal’s most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This historic royal palace complex is an open-air museum filled with ancient temples, courtyards, shrines, and the old palace of the Malla Kings who once ruled Kathmandu Valley. You will also visit the famous Kumari House, home to the Living Goddess Kumari, where visitors may catch a glimpse of her from the palace window during special moments. The ancient royal palace, known as Hanuman Dhoka, stands beside the statue of the Monkey God Hanuman, the guardian deity of the palace entrance. The courtyard was once used for the coronation ceremonies of Nepalese kings. Nearby, you can also see the impressive statue of Kal Bhairab, the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva, along with several beautifully carved temples and historical monuments.

The tour continues to Swayambhunath, famously known as the Monkey Temple, one of the oldest and most sacred Buddhist stupas in Nepal with a history of more than 2,500 years. Situated on a hilltop overlooking Kathmandu Valley, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers stunning panoramic views of the city. The stupa beautifully blends both Buddhist and Hindu traditions, featuring colorful prayer flags, prayer wheels, monasteries, chaityas, and ancient stone carvings. The peaceful atmosphere is enhanced by the scent of incense and butter lamps while devotees walk around the stupa spinning prayer wheels as part of their spiritual rituals. Even after the devastating 2015 earthquake, this iconic monument remained standing and continues to be one of Kathmandu’s most beloved spiritual landmarks.

Later, visit the artistic city of Patan Durbar Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its exceptional Newari art, architecture, and craftsmanship. Officially known as Lalitpur, the city is famous for traditional metal, stone, and terracotta art. The ancient royal palace complex features elegant courtyards, intricately carved temples, golden windows, and impressive monuments dedicated to Hindu and Buddhist traditions. Highlights include the beautiful Krishna Temple, Shiva temples, and the famous Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahabihar), surrounded by peaceful monasteries and charming courtyards that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley.

Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park through scenic hills, river valleys, terraced farmlands, and traditional Nepalese villages. The journey follows the beautiful Trishuli River and offers wonderful views of green landscapes, local markets, and rural life along the highway. After several hours of a comfortable drive, you arrive at the tropical lowlands of Chitwan, famous for its rich wildlife, dense jungle, and unique Tharu culture. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings of Nepal’s first national park.

Enjoy a full day jungle safari experience in Chitwan National Park to explore the rich wildlife and natural beauty of Nepal.
Begin with a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River (subject to water level), offering an excellent opportunity for bird watching and sightings of rare crocodile species such as the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial.
In the afternoon, continue with an exciting Jeep Safari inside the jungle. This is a great chance to spot wildlife including deer, one-horned rhinoceros, wild boar, monkeys, leopards, sloth bears, and, with some luck, the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger. The park is also home to many species of birds and smaller mammals.
Please note that elephant-back safaris are no longer operated in Chitwan due to wildlife conservation and animal welfare policies. Jeep safaris are provided instead. During the monsoon season (June to the end of September), canoe rides and jeep safaris may remain closed as park authorities restrict jungle access for safety and environmental protection.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tharu cultural dance performance presented by the local villagers, where guests may also join and experience the unique culture of the Tharu community.

Bandipur is a charming hilltop town famous for its preserved Newari culture, traditional architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and panoramic Himalayan scenery. Upon arrival, explore the old bazaar area with its stone-paved streets, local temples, and beautifully restored houses reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Nepal. From Bandipur, visitors can also enjoy stunning mountain views including the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Langtang ranges on clear days.

Bandipur is a beautiful traditional Newari hill town located between Kathmandu and Pokhara. Famous for its well-preserved Newari culture, old wooden houses, stone-paved streets, and peaceful atmosphere, Bandipur offers visitors a chance to experience the authentic lifestyle, architecture, and traditions of the Newar community. The village is also known for its scenic mountain views, friendly locals, and rich cultural heritage.

The drive to Nagarkot passes through peaceful countryside roads, local settlements, pine forests, and hillside landscapes. Famous for its tranquil environment and spectacular Himalayan panoramas, Nagarkot is one of the best places in Nepal to enjoy sunrise and sunset views over the snow-capped mountains, including Mt. Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historic medieval city of Nepal, famous for its rich Newari culture, ancient temples, traditional architecture, and artistic heritage. Explore remarkable landmarks such as the Palace of 55 Windows, the Golden Gate, Nyatapola Temple, Bhairab Temple, Dattatreya Temple, and Pottery Square, which beautifully reflect the craftsmanship of Newari artists over many centuries.

Continue to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated along the holy Bagmati River, the temple complex includes numerous shrines, ashrams, statues, and historic monuments.
